About our platform

The objective of the platform is to unite the ones who need help with the ones who are able and are willing to provide it.

“The Community platform “Our Defence” was created with the support of concerned citizens of Ukraine, USA, Canada, businesses, and organisations that wish to help the Ukrainian Armed Forces, displaced persons, children, and disabled and elderly people.”

We don’t run any commercial operations and we don’t aim to receive any revenue or any other profit for our managers and volunteers. All the donations that come to our accounts go to accomplish our programs and cover the administrative fees (such as leasing of storerooms, leasing of delivery vehicles, purchase of fuel etc.). All the goods that are sent to us are distributed according to the approved programs and the requests received from the military units.

Help

In the near future we are planning to offer business consultations to the reserve soldiers, temporarily displaced people and to create a business hub to pursue the realization of their commercial plans.

Thanks to the Charitable fund  “Legal and financial protection centre”, in operations since December of 2015, we are able to offer a legal aid. By offering a legal aid we mean providing consultations in civil, criminal, family, residential, employment and estate law and other inquiries that may occur to the combatants of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, territorial defence, participants of ATO, displaced persons, disabled people and other unprotected populations, and offering recommendations in the ways to resolve those inquiries. To provide advices and consultations we involve experienced specialists as well as senior law university students.

We collaborate with other charitable funds and Community organizations to achieve our common programs and information exchange to prevent fraud.
We don’t help people that are unable to confirm their situation and status with the appropriate documents.
We don’t treat requests for help that are coming through the social medias, messengers and telephone calls without filing out the appropriate forms. We don’t provide monetary support.

We can’t guarantee a 100% quick response to the requests, as we can’t predict the delays and the extents of the charitable help, but if we have a way to help we’ll surely get in touch with you.
